Extreme right-wing figures, Holocaust deniers and extremist Muslims use the Internet with great ease as a platform to disseminate their thoughts, but 'ordinary' Germans also hold deeply rooted prejudices and stereotypes about Jews. Dat staat in een rapport van deskundigen dat maandagochtend wordt gepresenteerd. De regering heeft de commissie van deskundigen in 2009 ingesteld op aandringen van de Bondsdag, de Duitse Tweede Kamer. De commissie constateert dat veel Duitsers gewend zijn geraakt aan "alledaagse anti-joodse tirades en praktijken". Voetbalstadion Zij noemt als voorbeeld de voetbalstadions waar racistische, extreem rechtse en antisemitische leuzen van supporters aan de orde van de dag zijn. De commissie zegt dat Duitsland wat het antisemitische betreft in Europa een middenpositie inneemt. In Polen, Hongarije en Portugal komt antisemitisme aanzienlijk meer voor. |
