Twitter Thinks So It sure has been a tough year for animals, but has it been of biblical proportions? As news of a massive fish kill at King Harbor in Redondo Beach, Calif., spread across the Internet on Tuesday, concerned Twitter users flocked to the microblogging site to vent a little apocalyptic steam. While the cause of the latest mass die-off of anchovies is believed to have been a red tide, some tweeps couldn't help but speculate about the end of the world as we know it. In a year that has already seen cows, bees, fish and birds keeling over in seemingly synchronized fashion, perhaps that's not surprising. |
