Messages in pop music

Introduction

If the End of Times will be in 2012 then it is likely that messages were given by God. As conventional sources of religious inspiration (synagogues, churches and mosques) are frozen in tradition, using texts that are unchanged for centuries, those messages did pop up somewhere else. The medium for those messages turned out to be pop music. As songwriters and artists wrote texts with their own intentions, some songs were also signaling messages from God. The song Gimme The Prize of Queen [1] indicates that God is a woman and that She is about to make Her presence felt. The album The Great Escape of Ilse De Lange is the most obvious example of God addressing Her husband to prepare him for the things to come (see also: The Great Escape).

If we are run by a program such as The Matrix (see also:Naturalmoney.org - The Matrix) then we are all controlled by The Matrix, which in its turn is controlled by God. Interpreting music is not an exact science. It is not science at all. To achieve at least some objectivity, signs must show some consistency. Most signs are subtle or garbled and therefore many people will not agree on the interpretations given. However if you agree on the assumptions made, accepting most interpretations will not be difficult.

The following pop music songs contain messages from God:
- many songs in different albums of Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen and the Dutch singer Boudewijn de Groot;
- many songs in the following albums: This is the Life of Amy MacDonald, Love over Gold of Dire Straits, Sleepwalking of Gerry Rafferty, The Great Escape of Ilse De Lange, The Kick Inside of Kate Bush and Adieu Sweet Bahnhof of The Nits;
- some songs of Björk, Eagles, Katie Melua, Pink Floyd, Queen and Tracy Chapman.

There probably are more songs containing messages. Songs are marked with an asterix (*) are clear examples of God's messages in pop music. Some of those songtexts do only make sense if it is assumed that the songs contain those messages. In many of the songs God has the female role, while Her husband who is the reincarnation of Adam, is represented by male voices. The parts of the lyrics containing the messages given are italic, marked with a bold number between brackets that is corresponding to the message. Below the songtext an explanation is given.
